Ok enuff with that. Today is Saturday May 13th my *cough* birthday and I’m here at work taking advantage of this overtime. And it just so happens that I have the bubbleguts (I KNOW TMI) and its rainy as shat outside… been raining all this week, AND they forecasting rain until at least this coming Wednesday.

So update on the “INCENTIVE” they are offering. My boss is “TRYING” to work with me because in her words…. I’m a team player and a workhorse for the department. And she knew that I would be more then willing and able to take advantage of this. I’m off the 2nd week of this incentive bullshit they are doing… and the rules of working this proposed offer is that you cannot work all the OT in one week and you cannot work a day that you have scheduled off but you can work that weekend if you choose… and for those working you have to break it up a max of 15 hrs that will count to the overtime….. you can work more if you want… however only 15 will count to the incentive.

BUT seeing how she wants to work with me. She will “BEND” the rules for me but not break them. She will NOT allow me to do the 30 hrs in one week.. but she will allow me the max of 25. like that’s a big difference… what’s 5 more hours… and I’ve worked 30 hrs OT in one week before… so its not big deal as I have no life.

So she tells me that the OT period started yesterday and will go until Memorial Day. There are 3 weekends between now and then so I figure I’m going to knock out a good amount of the OT today and this week. I’ll work 7 hrs today that went on the pay period that was passed in Yesterday. Then I’ll work 3 hrs a day this coming week. That will be 15 and 5 on next Saturday that will be 27 and I’ll come in and do the rest the weekend that I’m off which will be 3 hrs and a couple extra for good measure as when you work OT on the weekend.. It’s a minimum of 4 hrs.

So with my calculations with the 30 hrs of OT @ time and ½ and the 250 bonus that will put me over a $1000 in OT alone…not to count my regular salary and a potential extra $100 for the raffle you get entered in if you do at least 5 hrs each of the 2 weeks

My Dilema at work..... continued

Ok so i'm back at work and hearing rumors of some "Incentives" they are doing to comepesate for the fuck up they have done with staffing. after they have layed off /fired the temps and some of the permanent hires cuz management fucked up the forcasting and staffing for the company and when they went to call these people back was told to go f themselves w/out vaseline.

So What I have heard thus far if you work 5 hrs of ot each of the next 2 weeks you will be put into a raffle drawing for a $250 bonus.

If you work a total of 30 hrs OT over the next 2 weeks. you will get the $250 bonus on top of your overtime and base salary AND be in the drawing for the $250.

The thing with that..... You have to work your normal 40 hour work week AND cannot have any scheduled time off. Now I was planning on doing some OT next week as I was off this whole week anyways (except for today which was unavailable to take as it was booked solid with people taking off alredy) I will be here next week all week at work. but the following week I will be off all week so I will be ineligble for the $250 automatic.

and some of my coworkers have said that I should see if I can do the whole 30 next week (work a total of 70 hours) so that I can qualify for the bonus and the raffle.... and I'm actually thinkin bout it.

Carabana is coming on quickly and I could use the extra spending cash.

Don't hate me cuz i'm on Vacation

Hello Family.... its me... no Choc i'm not bloggin from my cell phone. i'm on my computer... Figured that i'd do a little bit of an update seein how its been a long while since my last.

I really don't have too much to talk about as I haven't done anything or gone anywhere. but I can tell you all this.

They are missing me something fierce at my job because in my position there is only a couple people that know how to do my job, so while I sit at home on my ass bcuz of the use it or lose it policy, they are feeling the pains of me not being there. maybe now they will look into the reimbursing those individuals that don't use their vacation and buy back the days from them, as its not just me that is doing this crippling the company by using this vacation time. AND I still have 3 more weeks to use by the end of June.

My Boss IM'd me Monday afternoon and said that she would go over MANAGEMENT'S HEAD and RULES and will now authorize me to carry over a maximum of 5 days vacation to the next fiscal year if I come back to work AND take a vacation on a quarterly basis and not wait to use my days at the end of the fiscal year. AFTER laughing at her I said no its ok i'll stay at home. EVEN tho its been Raining since Monday afternoon AND will be raining the rest of this week... EVEN the weekend (MY BIRTHDAY).

I know i'm going to be working like a slave when I return on Monday but it will be for 5 days and i'll be on vacation again HAHAHAHAHA!!!!
